This is my second post with apply oneself to kollu/Horsegram. The really idea was since by my aunty when we asked her how to soak up horsegram in the unchanging cooking. The simple element is replacing half the apportion of rice used with horsegram, for e.g. if we have been using 4 cups of rice, dual cups of rice can be transposed by horsegram. The disproportion between unchanging dosa beat and kollu dosa is which kollu dosa beat gets fermented fast than former one. So scheming them on tiny batches have been advisable.
- 1 cup tender rice
- 1 cup idly rice
- 2 cup kollu/horsegram
- Handful of chana dal
- 1/2 cup of urad dal
- 2 tsp of methi seeds/venthayam
- Salt, as required
Soak the abovesaid ingredients in H2O for about 3 to 4 hours. Grind them in to excellent pulp and leave to perturbation for 6 hours, compartment froth have been seen on tip and small taking flight of beat is observed.
Mix in salt, and flow an drain over pre-heated tawa, very wet in oil over the sides. Serve hot with side-dish of your choice.
