Tomorrow we have been carrying a Sunday Oven Pot Roast!  My father loves dishes similar to this and we suspicion to move 2012 to a close, we would have a good Sunday dinner.

Sunday Oven Pot Roast

1 2-1/2- to 3-lb. weak beef pitch pot fry
Salt and belligerent black peppers
2 Tbsp. olive oil or in progress oil
1 14-oz. can beef gas
1 vast onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, cut in to 2-inch lengths
5 cups cups various vegetables such as peeled Yukon bullion or honeyed potatoes, cut in to 2-inch chunks; parsnips, peeled and cut in to 2-inch chunks; total shallots or garlic bulbs, halved horizontally; middle carrots, peeled and cut in to 1-1/2-inch pieces.
1/4 crater cold H2O
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Trim fat from meat. Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. In a roasting vessel or vast Dutch oven brownish-red fry on all sides in prohibited oil over middle heat. Carefully empty fat from pan; discard. Add beef broth, onion, and celery to pan.
2. Roast, covered, for 1-14 hours. Remove celery with slotted spoon; discard. Add preferred vegetables around roast. Roast, uncovered, for 50 to 60 mins some-more or until beef and vegetables have been tender, spooning juices twice during roasting.
3. Using a slotted spoon, mislay beef and vegetables to platter. For gravy, magnitude vessel juices; slick off any fat. Discard sufficient vessel extract or supplement sufficient H2O to next to 1-12 cups. In a saucepan drive together the cold H2O and flour until good combined; supplement the 1-12 cups vessel juices. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly; cook and stir for 1 notation more. Season with salt and pepper. Pass gravy with beef and vegetables. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
Slow Cooker instructions: Place vegetables in a 5- to 6-quart delayed cooker. Trim fat from meat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cut fry to fit, if necessary; place on tip of vegetables. Omit in progress oil. Add beef gas to cooker. Cover and cook on low-heat environment for 9 to eleven hours or on high-heat environment for 4-12 to 5-12 hours. Remove beef and vegetables from cooker; cover to keep warm. Using 1-12 cups of the in progress juices, hope for gravy as destined in Step 3. Season to ambience with salt and pepper. Pass gravy.
