Hi everyone!

Tomorrow we are getting together with friends and having an appetizer party.  I am going to bring these 3 things.  They are nothing fancy but all things that seem to be really popular.  Then the last recipe is one that I’m making for my husband to take to his Sunday School class.

Ham and Cheese Pinwheels

2 tablespoons cream cheese
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1/2 cup grated Cheddar
1 tablespoon chopped pimiento
1/2 teaspoon Baby Bam or Essence
1 to 2 drops hot sauce, optional
2 (7-inch) flour tortillas
4 thin slices deli ham

In a small mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Cheddar, pimiento, Baby Bam or Essence, and hot sauce, if using, and stir well to combine. On a cutting board, lay the 2 tortillas flat. Using the rubber spatula, divide the cheesy filling evenly between the 2 tortillas. Spread the filling to within 1/2-inch from the edges of the tortillas. Lay 2 slices of ham over the filling. Using clean fingers, roll each tortilla into a cylinder shape, rolling as tightly as you can. Using a chef’s knife, cut each cylinder into 1/2-inch slices, or “pinwheels.” Serve immediately.

TACO DIP SALAD

2 8oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 8oz. mild or medium salsa
chopped lettuce
tomato cubes
grated Cheddar cheese (or whatever you like)
sliced black olives (optional)
tortilla chips or nacho chips

Mix together cream cheese, sour cream, and salsa. Pour into a pie plate or bowl. Top with chopped lettuce, tomato cubes and grated cheese. Add olives, if desired.
Serve with chips.

Danell’s Famous Crockpot Nachos

1 lb of cooked hamburger
1 packet of your favorite taco seasoning
1 large black of Velveeta cubed(I thinks its 3lbs)
2 jars of salsa or picante sauce (I use picante sauce)
Bag of tortilla chips (scoops are nice to use)

Stir the packet of taco seasoning into the hamburger and toss into the crockpot. Pour in your salsa/picante sauce and then cubed velveeta and stir. Turn crockpot on to “high” for about an hour, stirring every once in a while to make sure everything is blended well. Once cheese is completely melted turn crockpot down to “low” and serve with chips when ready. (DH also likes to put the dip on tacos the next night if there are leftovers, which there rarely ever are!!!)

Fresh Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Salad

McCormick Makes 6 servings.

4 medium tomatoes, sliced
8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
2 tablespoons olive oil
20 twists Garlic Pepper Seasoning Grinder

Layer tomatoes and cheese in overlapping slices on plate. Sprinkle fresh basil over salad. Drizzle with olive oil. Twist grinder over salad.
