Growing up this seasoning for rice was one of my the one preferred treats. A renouned brand, Momoya, has a chronicle called “Gohan Desu Yo” (literally, it’s time for dinner). It’s simply nori simmered in a honeyed soy gas which is a thick paste, undiluted for dolloping over a play of white rice.
Making this at home could not be any easier. And, if we have been similar to me, chances have been we have a container of yaki nori in your sideboard which has proposed to remove the crispness. This is the recipe which everybody should have on hand after a night of sushi rolls.
5 sheets yakinori
4 Tablespoons soy sauce
3 Tablespoons sake
1 Tablespoon sugar
Tear the yakinori in to tiny pieces. In a pot mix the soy sauce, sake, and sugar. Add the nori and concede to rest for a couple of mins so the nori can soak in the sauce. Bring to a simmer. Continue to stir until many of the potion has evaporated. Be clever to keep the feverishness low so which it does not burn. Allow to cold in the vessel and afterwards store in a purify potion jar. This will keep for up to dual weeks.
