Lazy Man’s Beef Stew in Healthy Recipes blog.
(This is after the primary baking duration of 4 hours as we was stirring in the
frozen peas and mushrooms.)


Again, here we am using up all the uninformed veg etc. which we can from the refrigerator prior to we go on holidays. The Toddster is a meat and potatoes kind of a guy. As we know all we have to do to greatfully him is chuck a small meat and potatoes on to a image and he is utterly happy . . . AS IF! we would never only chuck a small meat and potatoes on to a plate!!!

On his Birthday this week, we oven oven baked him a poetic cherry almond cake, AND a ripened offspring cake AND we made him this poetic stew. He was one really happy camper. You only can’t kick a great meal can you?



Fruitcake, cherry cake . . . meat and potatoes!
This is a really easy meal to make. All we do is chuck all in to a stew dish and bake it in the oven. No browning. No mess. No fuss. Easy peasy as can be!



I adore it when things have been easy and nonetheless come out tasting gloriously tasty and as if you’d outlayed all day slaving over a hot stove, do not you? (Tis called Lazy Man’s Beef Stew, coz who’d ever hold a lady would be lazy? tee hee!)



*Lazy Man’s Beef Stew*

An oldie though a goodie. Delicious, easy and quick to chuck together. Beef and vegetables oven oven baked in a delayed oven until the meat is meltingly proposal and the concomitant sauce, abounding and delicious.

2 pounds of stewing beef, embellished of all fat and cut in to cubes
4 vast carrots, peeled, quartered and cut in to pieces
1 tin of cream of chopped tomatoes soup
1 brook leaf
1/2 tsp savoury
freshly ground black peppers to taste
4 middle potatoes, peeled and cut in to quarters
8 liquid ounces of red wine
2 leeks, trimmed, cleared and thinly sliced
8 ounces of solidified peas (1 tiny package)
1 punnet of uninformed mushrooms, sliced and browned in a bit of butter, or 1 tin of sliced mushrooms, drained
(about 1 cup)

Oven heat 140*C/275*F/ gas symbol 3.

Grease a vast stew dish. Put in to the beef, carrots, chopped tomatoes soup, leeks, potatoes, brook leaf, black peppers and 1/2 of the wine. Stir good together. Cover firmly and bake for 4 hours. Remove from the oven and stir. Add the solidified peas, mushrooms and superfluous red wine and if required a small water. Cover firmly and cook for 1 hour longer.
